RUSH CAMPAIGN ON THE MOVE;
Three Field Offices Open, WEB Site is Up
and The Rush Report hits the streets

Chicago (Jan.13, 1999) – The Rush campaign announced the opening of three additional Rush for Mayor campaign offices on the North, South and West Sides of Chicago. The neighborhood field offices extend the reach of the campaign and provide additional locations for citizens to receive information about the campaign or volunteer to join the Rush for Change.

  • On the South Side, Rush for Mayor has opened an office at 8459 S. Cottage Grove (tel. 773/84-6891).

  • On the West Side, an office has been opened at 3022 W. Madison (tel. 773/722-1684).

  • The North Side Rush for Mayor office is located at 4765 N. Lincoln (tel. 773/784-0319).

The offices are in addition to the main campaign headquarters at 9 N. Wabash.

At open houses held this weekend, Bobby Rush welcomed supporters to the new offices and encouraged their participation in his campaign. "I promised the citizens of Chicago that I would campaign in every nook and cranny of the city," he said. "These additional offices will help us get our message out and provide additional locations for citizens to get information about our movement for change."

Rush also announced that he has launched a campaign WEB site at www.bobbyrush.com. The site is another vehicle to communicate with voters and provide them with information about the campaign. In addition to information about the candidate, voters can learn about Bobby Rush’s position on critical issues and read copies of his press statements.

A weekly campaign newspaper, The Rush Report, joins the WEB site as another outreach tool to voters. Some 50,000 copies are being distributed every week in communities across the city.

"My campaign is about moving all of Chicago forward," Rush said. "And I am committed to doing all that I can to share information about my campaign with all of Chicago."
