Dwayne
Dixon is a Marketing and Technology professional with a background of
over 20 years of experience in a wide range of Public Relations,
Marketing, Sales, Consulting, and Business Development functions in a
variety of environments.
He is the immediate-past National Director of Marketing for the Iota Phi Theta
Fraternity, Incorporated. In this capacity, he handled all marketing
and public relations for the organization. Additionally, he
was the
principal architect of the organization's presence on the Internet,
and handled all web development for the organization
from 1996-2005.
An accomplished writer and speaker, Mr. Dixon has been featured in The
Industry Standard magazine and has also been published in Black
Enterprise Magazine and Black Voices Quarterly Magazine. He has
conducted technology seminars for numerous organizations including
Genentech Corporation, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., National Sales
Network, and the Illinois Association of Minorities in Government. Mr.
Dixon is also an adjunct instructor at Governors State University and
South Suburban College.
He spent 18 years in positions of increasing responsibility at Xerox, MCI
Telecommunications, and IBM. In these roles, he consulted large
corporations on technology strategy and implementation. Some of his
clients have included, Sears, Harrods of London, Manpower International,
the Federal Government and a host of others.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Dixon
received his B.S. in Public Relations from Southern Illinois University in
1983. He is also a member of Kappa Kappa Psi Honorary Band Fraternity,
The National Black MBA Association, National
Sales Network, and 100 Black Men of Chicago.
