One View: Most of Grayslake’s growth phase is over. There is little room for more development.

Another View: Projected population growth for Grayslake (from 7,388 in 1990 to 24,295 in 2020--an increase of 229%) will negatively impact schools, taxes, transportation and other quality of life factors. We need a clear vision of our future along with a strategic plan to get us there.

One View: Growth brings increased demand for Grayslake school system resources yet our school system is already overburdened.

Another View: Impact fees charged to developers are sufficient to cover any new demands placed on school system resources.

One View: Recruit manufacturers who can make Grayslake their company home. This will help generate funds for infrastructure (e.g. schools) thereby keeping a lid on your tax bill.
